Moscow will present the main city projects at the MIPIM exhibition
Today, March 12, the largest European real estate exhibition MIPIM opens in French Cannes, in which Moscow has been participating for more than 25 years. The Russian capital traditionally presents its booth here, within which major projects of interest to foreign investors will be presented – TPU, embankments, etc. In addition, the Zaryadye Park with a concert complex will be nominated for the MIPIM Awards competition.
The main goals of such large-scale forums are attracting foreign investment in the city’s infrastructure projects and, no less important, sharing experience. “In addition to presenting our own projects, we can see what ideas our colleagues from other countries are implementing, and also understand how relevant our foreign colleagues’s projects are for Moscow. I can cite as an example transport hubs: before starting the implementation of this program, we paid great attention to studying the experience of colleagues, in particular Paris, where there are large railway stations, including both transport and commercial components, ”the Moscow Mayor told reporters. on urban policy and construction Marat Khusnullin.
In this regard, special attention at the exhibition is paid to transport interchange hubs (TPU). At the Moscow stand, six projects were presented: TPU “Lermontovsky Prospect”, “Aviamotornaya”, “Ryazanskaya”, “Shelepiha”, “Victory Park” and “Seliger”. All of them are extremely interesting examples of mutually beneficial cooperation between the government and investors. The construction of hubs allows you to increase revenues to the city budget, for example, in order to re-direct them to transport development, as well as to improve the security of the city’s social, sports and trade infrastructure. Investors also get promising sites with high passenger traffic. Thanks to TPU, a unified integrated transport network with an increased throughput and high level of comfort, formed on the basis of modern technologies, is being created in Moscow. These transfer hubs will not only ensure the freedom and comfort of movement of passengers in the city, but also become a catalyst for the development of the adjacent territory. In general, the urban planning potential of 96 projects of nodes currently being implemented in the capital is 5 million square meters. meters of various real estate.
The results of this work have already been evaluated by international experts. Thus, in the World Bank’s Doing Business ranking in the construction industry, Russia climbed 67 positions, taking 48th place among 190 rated countries. All these changes allow the authorities to attract investment in urban projects. Today, 80% of real estate in the city is built by investors. As an example of such projects, we can distinguish the Skolkovo medical cluster, on the basis of which 15 international clinics will work for 300 thousand patients per year. At the same time, the Israeli Hadassah is already working, the South Korean Bundan is at the design stage, there is a decision to open a branch of the French Orpea.
Another large-scale project that Moscow will present at MIPIM will be the largest in Russia children’s amusement park “Dream Island” with an area of almost 100 hectares, the first stage of which should be introduced already this year.
In the light of all the projects presented and being implemented, the city authorities hope to maintain a high investor interest in Moscow. Among other things, such investments are profitable for foreign companies both in terms of the difference in exchange rates and in terms of the comfort of doing business.
