15 new BIM documents developed and accepted during three years

In the system of regulation of the construction industry over the past three years, about 70 fundamentally new documents were developed and adopted, 15 of them in the field of BIM. A system of regulatory technical documents has been formed in Russia to ensure the implementation of information modeling technologies in construction.

The system covers all the main areas of BIM: general modeling rules, rules for creating electronic components and catalogs, rules for organizing teamwork, rules for ensuring information security and quality control, classification of construction information, conceptual framework and methodology for implementing information modeling into practice at all stages of the life cycle – From the justification of investments to the disposal and demolition of buildings and structures.

By 2020, it is planned to complete work on the all-Russian construction information classifier and develop a standard for a digital regulatory technical document in construction, from 2021 the translation of the regulatory technical documentation in construction into digital format will begin, which will allow forming and maintaining a fund of digital regulatory technical documents in industry.

The Head of the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia, Igor Manylov, stressed that the task now was not only the implementation of the supervisory control function, but also the improvement of the construction industry as a whole.
