8 new construction standards to put into effect by Minstroy in 2016
Eight new construction standards will be put into effect in Russia this year, he said Dmitry Mikheyev, Director of the federal government agency for regulation, standardization and technical conformity assessment in construction, at a meeting in the Ministry of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation.
He noted that mostly the new standards will apply to the fire safety of residential and commercial buildings.
“We have identified 16 regulations that require amendments. We also found eight sets of rules to be re-developed,” said Dmitry Mikheyev, reports Interfax-Real Estate.
According to him, these documents will be worked out in 2016. It was a long-term need for changes due to the large number of applications from developers for approving project technical specifications (PTS), since the existing standards do not meet modern requirements.
The expert noted that examination of the set of standards and regulations for compliance with the current requirements of construction sector was carried out by the Ministry in 2015.
According to the first deputy minister of construction and housing and utilities of the Russian Federation Leonid Stavitsky, the Ministry of Construction received for consideration 735 PSTS (project-specific technical specificatios) in 2015, and 291 – since the beginning of this year. Previously, the number on the PSTS amounted to 1,200 per year.
