A park at the area before Paveletsk station will appear in the next 2.5 years
The construction of an underground shopping center and the arrangement of a park on the square in front of the Paveletsky train station will take 2 – 2.5 years, said Marat Khusnullin, deputy mayor of Moscow for urban planning and construction issues.
“Recently, a development project for this site has been approved. Finally, after many years, Moscow will get rid of the well-known long-term construction, called by the townspeople “the pit on Paveletskaya,” said Marat Khusnullin.
According to the deputy mayor, the project will be implemented by Russian businessman Sergey Gordeev (owner of the PIK group of companies).
“I want to emphasize that there will be no new construction on the square in front of the Paveletsky station, all commercial spaces will be located underground, and public space and green spaces will appear on the square itself” added Marat Khusnullin.
Earlier, the chief architect of the capital, Sergey Kuznetsov, reported that it was planned to build a shopping complex with an area of about 70 thousand square meters under the area in front of the Paveletsky railway station.
“This project will be integrated into urban space. All entrances to the shopping center will be integrated into the city square and complement it”said Sergey Kuznetsov.
