A standard for working in epidemic conditions will be prepared for construction projects
Specialists of the Ministry of Construction together with developers are developing a standard for the work of construction companies in a pandemic. At the moment, the document is undergoing approval, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities Nikita Stasishin told Izvestia.
“The draft standard is in the final stage of development, discussions are currently underway with FOIVs (federal executive bodies), regional authorities, the expert community and developers”, – Nikita Stasishin said.
The standard was based on existing regulations, similar international standards and Moscow experience in the conditions of restrictive measures.
According to the developers, the main goal of the standard is to reduce the risks of freezing construction projects, bankruptcy of companies, reduce costs when switching to a special mode of operation, as well as increase labor safety.
The initiative to create a document is supported in the business community. “So, in the event of a second wave or new epidemics, it will be possible to minimize the risks of freezing construction sites, bankruptcy of companies, and therefore the appearance of new deceived equity holders”, – said Oleg Stapenkov, head of the Top Idea brokerage and consulting company.
