Amendments to the housing construction legislation will be simplified by a number of procedures

27.06.2020

The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted in the second reading a package of amendments to the legislation on housing, some of which are aimed at simplifying the administrative procedures

In particular, the bill eliminates the need for the developer to obtain the GPZU if a new section is formed during the initial section. Also, if amendments are adopted, developers will be able to obtain permits for putting the facility into operation if the deviation of the facility’s area in the technical plan is no more than 5% of the area indicated in the project documentation.

The amendments also clarify the mechanisms for developers to use the compensation fund, bankruptcy rates, the possibility of redistributing funds from the settlement network, and more.
