Analytics: foreign investors returning to Russia
The share of foreign investment in real estate in Russia over the past year increased by 11% and amounted to 24% of the total investment, according to the international consulting company Knight Frank.
Analysts stressed that this is the largest share of foreign investment since 2014, when it reached 39%.
The most active in the Russian real estate market in 2018 were foreign investors from Kyrgyzstan, the Czech Republic, France, the UK, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Finland, and the United States.
“The interest of foreign investors in the Russian real estate market, as in the previous year, we regard as moderate. We believe that even against the background of attractive ruble yields, the prospects for demand from foreign investors will mainly be determined by the general economic situation, as well as the situation with sanctions and the ruble exchange rate, ”said Igor Roganovich, director of the financial markets and investment department at Knight Frank.
