Belarus and Russia to prepare road map for introduction of BIM technology

Russia and Belarus are stepping up cooperation in the field of introduction BIM technology in construction sector. A draft of the road map will be ready by the middle of 2017.

The initiative was put forward  by the head of the Architecture and Construction Ministry of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Chorny at a meeting with the Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Mikhail Men in Minsk.

Russia and Belarus have agreed to establish joint roadmaps for technical regulation, pricing and expert examination in 2017. There also will be created a joint proposal to the plan of interstate standardization in the field of construction until 2020.

“It is very important to share information concerning the normative legal acts and normative technical documents in the field of construction which are developing in the Russian Federation and in the Republic of Belarus. We need to focus on priority research and development projects, codes and standards, and to establish the terms of work in these areas,” said the Minister of Construction Mikhail Men.
