BIM technologies help design medical facilities

In Moscow, information modeling technologies began to be used in the design of healthcare facilities built at the expense of the city budget. In particular, a contract has already been signed for design and survey work for the construction of a children’s and adult clinic for 320 visits per shift in the village. Mosrentgen of New Moscow, said Vladimir Zhidkin, head of the Department for the Development of New Territories.

The head of the department emphasized that for the new clinic they will create an information model that takes into account all stages of the life cycle of the object.

“For example, the layout of the land plot will display the projected elements: a relief represented as a 3D surface, small architectural forms, platforms, coverings, stairs, ramps, fencing and other created improvement elements”, – said Vladimir Zhidkin.

In the section of architectural and technological solutions will reflect all rooms, structural structures and structural elements, equipment.

The head of the department stressed that the visual information model should 100% correspond to the description and graphical appendix of the Certificate of approval of the architectural and urban design of the building.
