Bim-technologies reduced the term of construction of the palace gymnastics in the Luzhniki
The Gymnastics Palace, the project of which was carried out using the Open BIM technology is opened in Luzhniki. This was announced by the chairman of Moskomexpertiza Valery Leonov.
“On June 18, 2019, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin opened the Rhythmic Gymnastics Center in Luzhniki. The building project was developed using innovative technologies, including BIM. I am sure that the Gymnastics Palace will certainly become a key sports facility not only for Moscow, but also for the whole of Russia, ”concluded Valery Leonov.
According to the chairman of Moskomexpertiza, the use of information modeling technology has significantly reduced the time of examination, minimized multiple project adjustments, and competent study and synchronization of sections of project documentation allowed us to optimize the construction costs of the building.
So, at the start of the project development, thanks to the use of BIM, it was possible to identify possible errors and inconsistencies and within two weeks of work to reduce their number several times. The project received a positive conclusion from Moscow State Expertise.
“The dates for the start of development of the site for construction and the very beginning of the construction of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Center were significantly shorter than those of a similar volume that are designed without using the BIM model,” Valery Leonov added.
