By the end of the year, it is planned to build 43 km of roads in Moscow
Since the beginning of the year, 48 km of roads have been reconstructed and built in Moscow, and by the end of 2020 it is planned to put another 43 km into operation. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Government of Moscow on urban planning and construction Andrei Bochkarev.
“Road construction is one of the most important areas of our work. Construction of highways and small district passages allows improving the transport situation in the capital and increasing the connectivity of urban areas. This year alone, 48 km of roads, 17 tunnels, bridges and overpasses, as well as 12 pedestrian crossings have already been commissioned”, – Andrei Bochkarev said.
Among open objects, the deputy mayor highlighted a section of the General Dorokhov Avenue from Aminyevsky Highway to Minsk Street, a link between Ramensky Boulevard and Vernadsky Avenue in the area of Moscow State University, an interchange on the Kiev Highway near the Salaryevo metro station, overpass through the MCC railway tracks from Pond Klyuchiki Street to 1st Fresernaya Street and a number of others.
“However, this year we have yet to complete and open equally important and large-scale structures. By the end of the year, it is planned to complete the construction of 43 km of roads, 4 transport structures and 8 pedestrian crossings”, – the head of the Construction Complex emphasized.
Andrei Bochkarev said that in the remaining months of the year, automobile traffic will open, including along the new departing highway – General Dorokhov Avenue (section from Minsk Street to TTK), the road from Maryino to Salaryevo, the transport interchange at the section from the Moscow Ring Road to the village of Kommunarka, as well as the reconstructed highway from Minsk to Borovsky Highway. In addition, according to the deputy mayor, during this time the reconstruction of Tkatskaya Street and the construction of a road network on the territory of the Administrative and Business Center (ADC) in the village of Kommunarka will be completed.
