Construction SROs transferred 40 billion rubles of compensation funds to banks

The amount of compensation funds of self-regulatory organizations (SROs), which had to be placed on special accounts in banks in accordance with changes in legislation, as on the evening of November 10 is about 40 billion rubles, said Victor Pryadein, executive director of the National Association of Builders (NOSTROY).
“As of yesterday evening, the figure amounted to about 40 billion rubles,” he said, adding that not more than 180 out of the 267 companies have reported on transfer of their funds.
By now more than 50 SROs has “critically lost” their compensation funds, said Pryadein.
SROs had to allocate the resources of compensation funds on special accounts in banks until November 1, 2016.
The Central Bank of the Russian Federation has approved the list of banks which are allowed to keep finances of SRO compensation funds.
The list includes: Unicredit Bank, Gazprombank, “VTB”, Alfa-Bank, Sberbank, “VTB 24”, Moscow Credit Bank, FK “Otkrytie”, Rosbank, Promsvyazbank, Raiffeisenbank and Rosselkhozbank.
