Digital map of Moscow underground utilities to be done by year-end
The work on development of digital map of underground utilities of the city should be completed before the end of this year, told Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Mayor for urban policy and construction.
“Creation of such a digital information resource which will be available to the public is a serious task for the near future. We hope to fulfill it to the end of the year,” said Marat Khusnullin.
According to him, today about 80% of information on underground utilities within the boundaries of “old” Moscow is digitized. “However, we do not possess such data on “new” Moscow territories,” said the Deputy Mayor.
He stressed that the length of the underground facilities amounts to tens of thousands of kilometers.
“Creating the digital map will significantly facilitate and accelerate the work with the project documentation,” said Marat Khusnullin.
