EEU technical regulations for construction sector to be approved until mid-2017
Unified technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) in the field of construction is planned to be signed in the first half of 2017, said the Head of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation Mikhail Men summing up the results of the meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin in Minsk.
During the meeting the sides discussed the issues of preparation of EEU technical regulations “On safety of buildings, building materials and products”, reports the statement of the Ministry.
“This is an important document for our country, it has been elaborated for several years, and finally we came to the finish line: the document was worked out by all EEU participants, we found understanding on almost all the issues. We expect that in the first half of the next year the document will be signed,” commented the Minister of construction Mikhail Men.
The Minister also stressed that today both in Russia and in Belarus the authorities are creating a system of technical regulation of the sector, in which all decisions are taken by the agency that regulates the construction industry.
“We need to synchronize this work, then we will be able to present the same technical requirements for the safety of buildings and structures, to use new innovative materials and technologies, to find a single approach to the determination of the price of construction,” said the Minister according to the press service release.
