Electronic discussions 6-time more popular than public hearings
The results of the first public discussions in electronic form, which were carried out on 4 projects for the planning of territories, were summed up, said Julian Knyazhevskaya, chairman of the Moscow City Architecture Committee.
Four urban development projects were reviewed by residents on the Active Citizen portal.
“Now we can argue that the format of electronic public discussions of urban projects is a relevant and timely solution. In total, 451 projects were attended by 2251 people. On average, 663 people took part in each project. At the same time, in 2019, on average, 100 people participated in public hearings on similar projects in full-time format. These figures demonstrate not only a 6-fold increase in the involvement of Muscovites who are actively involved in the life of the city, but also indicate an increase in the awareness of residents about the development of their area”, said Juliana Knyazhevskaya.
Every sixth participant in public discussions expressed his proposals for the projects under consideration. Such an interest of residents speaks, first of all, of an active life position and concern for the participants of the Active Citizen project. Comments and suggestions from residents were passed on to project developers for use in their work.
