Experts forecast increase of Russia’s position in «Doing Business» rating

In the Doing Business ranking of the World Bank, which may be again this fall, Russia can rise by 30 points in terms of “obtaining a building permit.” This opinion was expressed by Dmitry Voronkov, head of the department of business management (ASI).

“Of course, we are counting on further improving the position of the Russian Federation in the rating”, he said. In particular, according to the calculations of the ASI, Russia can climb up to 30 positions in terms of “obtaining a building permit”, the expert said.

Also, believes Dmitry Voronkov, there may be improvements in the direction of “property registration”. If the experts of the World Bank take into account all the reforms in this area that have occurred since January 1, 2017, Russia can enter the top five in this indicator (now the country is in the top ten).

Let us remind you that the Doing Business rating is compiled by the World Bank for the 14th time and covers 190 countries. The cumulative assessment consists of 11 indicators, including in the rating of the estimated time of registration of real estate, issuing permits for construction and connection to the electricity grid. In the last ranking, Russia took 40th place.
