Experts mark for growth of foreign investments into Russian economy

15.05.2019

According to the Bank of Russia, in the first quarter of this year, there was an eight-fold increase in foreign direct investment in the non-banking sector of the Russian economy.

In a quarterly comparison, the figure rose to $ 11.5 billion, according to a publication by the Research and Forecasting Department of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

Experts link the positive dynamics with individual intragroup transactions of large companies, but also note that if the trend towards improving relations with some EU countries and China persists in the long term, the Russian economy will once again become attractive to foreign investors, despite American sanctions and other risks. .
