Experts to discuss the future of BIM technologies at a scientific and practical conference
On April 23, a conference “BIM Education DAY-2019” will be held in Moscow, during which leading experts in the field of information modeling will discuss with teachers and students of specialized universities the introduction of digital technologies into building practice.
“BIM technologies are becoming an integral part of construction in Moscow. Russia has a strategy for digitizing the economy by 2035. And we have a direct instruction from the Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, on the implementation of BIM technologies in city order projects, ”said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for urban planning and construction issues Marat Khusnullin.
According to the head of the Moscow City Planning Policy Department Sergey Levkin, the use of information technologies will make it possible to eliminate technological errors and improve the quality of expert opinions, and reduce the period of examination. “It will also reduce the costs at the construction site, expressed in design errors,” added Sergey Levkin. The model will take into account the time, cost of construction and operating conditions of the building and its systems – all those nuances that can not be obtained in a visual form with traditional design methods.
Of course, the transition to digital technology is impossible without the training of specialists of the appropriate qualifications. Today, Russian specialized universities are actively introducing training programs for information modeling of construction objects. Experts believe that such professions as BIM-managers, BIM-coordinators or BIM-modelers will be in high demand in the labor market, opening up broad prospects for young professionals.
Discussing approaches to teaching information modeling and sharing experience in the use of modern technologies among specialized universities are the main objectives of the BIM Education DAY-2019 conference.
“Industry experts and IT specialists will tell you what it really is important for the future designer to know what kind of BIM knowledge he will need first. And with university professors, experts will share information on the latest trends in BIM technology in architectural design and suggest how to help a student apply digital modeling already at the stage of educational project implementation”, says Farit Fazylzyanov, director of the state institution“ Mosstroyinform ”.
