First part of the nekrasovskaya metro line opened in Moscow
Today Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin took part in the opening ceremony of the first four stations of the new pink metro line: Nekrasovka, Lukhmanovskaya, Dmitrievsky Street and Kosino.
The second section of the pink line metro with the stations “South-East”, “Okskaya”, “Stakhanovskaya” and “Nizhegorodskaya” is planned to be built before the end of this year.
“When we launch this branch entirely, the transportation situation will improve for 800 thousand people living in many districts of Moscow and the Moscow region. It will be a serious unloading of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line, which Nekrasovskaya intersects, ”explained Sergey Sobyanin.
In addition, the Rudnevo depot (first stage) was opened for servicing the new line, which will serve up to 48 trains per day and will create around 1,000 qualified jobs for the city.
“At the first stage, more than 500 people will work here, and in the future, as the depot develops and the second stage is built, the number of workers will increase to one thousand,” said Marat Khusnullin, head of the Moscow Construction Complex.
