“Every year, unique and complex objects appear in the Russian capital from an engineering point of view. They are built by a large professional team of Moscow builders. Projects attract the attention, including the world community and deserve the highest appreciation among professionals. This year, the MIPIM Awards in the nomination “Best Project of Culture and Sports” received the Gymnastics Palace. It was built by order of a private investor on the territory of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex. The management company for the construction of the facility was Mosinzhproekt holding”, – Andrei Bochkarev said.

According to the deputy mayor, in recent years, Moscow projects have always been shortlisted for the prize. The MIPIM Awards are one of the most authoritative and significant in the field of architecture and construction.

Earlier, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said that the Moscow project won the prestigious MIPIM Awards real estate competition as the best sports and cultural object.

“For the second year in a row, the European jury has been casting its votes for Moscow facilities. Last year, Zaryadye Park won in a special nomination, this is the largest gymnastics center in the world! One of its main advantages is multifunctionality. There you can conduct training, international competitions, mass events”, – Sergey Sobyanin said.

Recall that the construction of the Gymnastics Palace was completed in less than three years. The unique design of the building was developed using information modeling technologies (BIM technologies).
