In the next three years, 4.3 million square meters will be built in Moscow
From 2021 to 2023, 4.3 million square meters of residential facilities will be erected in the capital, said Andrei Bochkarev, deputy mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for urban planning and construction.
“Today, at a meeting of the Moscow Government with the participation of Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, a resolution was adopted on the Targeted Investment Program (AIP) for the period 2021-2023 years. It includes a fundamentally important point for Moscow – the construction of residential buildings. The program is designed for three years, and during this time we plan to build 4.3 million square meters of housing”, – said Andrei Bochkarev.
According to the deputy mayor, among the objects planned for construction, housing for waiting lists and participants in the renovation program.
“Within three years, we plan to provide about 118 thousand program participants with new apartments. This means that only within the framework of the renovation program we have to design and build 3.8 million square meters of residential facilities”, – explained Andrei Bochkarev.
Recall that in terms of the pace of construction of residential facilities, Moscow is ahead of the largest cities in the world. Over the past ten years, 85.7 million square meters of real estate have been built in the capital. Of these, 34.4 million square meters of housing.
