Investors to build 2,6 mln sq m of housing in Moscow this year
More than 3.1 million square meters of housing is planned to be built and put into operation in Moscow in 2016, reported the Deputy Mayor for urban policy and construction Marat Khusnullin.
“A large amount of commissioning housing is built by investors. 2.6 million square meters of residential space planned to be built at the expense of extra-budgetary funds,” said Marat Khusnullin.
He noted that in Moscow about 9 million square meters of real estate is planned to put into operation by the year-end, of which about 7.3 million square meters will be built at the expense of private investments.
The Head of the Construction complex reminded that in 2015, 7.9 million square meters of commissioned real estate in Moscow were built at the expense of extra-budgetary sources, including about 3.2 million square meters of housing.
