Khusnullin: the Big Ring of the metro is ready 40%
The construction readiness of the Big Ring Metro Line in the capital is about 40%, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for urban planning and construction issues Marat Khusnullin in an interview with the Moscow 24 TV channel.
“The big ring metro line is a grandiose project. It is more than 70 kilometers of subway lines and 31 stations. However, we have passed the most difficult organizational point in this project. 6 stations are already in operation, two more are planned to be commissioned this year, ”said Marat Khusnullin.
At the same time, the deputy mayor stressed that the volume of construction work carried out on the Big Ring already amounts to about 40%.
“To date, all the most difficult sections have been covered, 80 km of tunnels have been built, 135 sites have been freed from utilities and buildings,” said Marat Khusnullin.
Recall that the first section of the BCL from Petrovsky Park to the Business Center was opened in February 2018, and in December last year, the first passengers took the Savelovskaya station. Design and construction works are deployed in all sections of the Great Ring Line.
