Levkin: more than one-third visitors of renovation showroom want to improve their living conditions
More than one-third visitors of renovation showroom on VDNKH want to improve characteristics of their future flats. According to the Head of the Department of the Urban Planning Policy of Moscow, Sergei Levkin, these data were obtained during the analysis of citizens’ proposals.
“According to the poll, 36% wished to improve their living conditions and to buy an additional living space. 24% respondents are ready to expand an amount of rooms by one. For instance, to obtain two-room flat instead of studio flat. 5% respondents expressed a desire to add more than one room. 7% participants of the poll want to expand total living area without adding new rooms”, – emphasized Sergey Levkin.
To date, Moscow authorities jointly with Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending (‘AMHL’) elaborate preferential mortgage mechanism including in relation to renovation program. At the same time, mortgage conditions for renovation program participants, which wish to buy additional living space during the resettlement, are expected to appear in the near future.
“The majority of show room visitors are satisfied with the layout of flats as well as their interior decor. 74,5% and 86% visitors consider these characteristics to be an advantage of new housing. It is a very important indicator for us that according to it almost 70% do not see drawbacks in presented flats”, – stressed out Sergey Levkin.
