Medical Technopark will appear at Skolkovo
A center for advanced training and training of doctors will be created in the International Medical Cluster (MMK) in Skolkovo, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for urban planning and construction issues Marat Khusnullin.
“In addition to the development of the sphere of medical care, the opportunity to receive specialized education is provided in the medical cluster. To do this, we will create a technology park on an area of 19.5 hectares, which will include a medical university, research and development laboratories and technology transfer centers, pilot production” said Marat Khusnullin.
The deputy mayor stressed that the educational part will be managed by a large operator, whose role the University of Strasbourg can play.
“He will conclude partnership agreements with the medical participants of the medical cluster and Russian educational and medical centers. In addition to training future doctors in the double diploma system, the operator will conduct advanced training programs and provide medical services, ”the head of the building complex noted.
The launch of the technopark project is planned in 2021, its implementation will take about two years.
Recall that this year a branch of the Israeli Hadassah Clinic opened in the medical cluster in Skolkovo. As part of the second stage, a multidisciplinary hospital for the treatment of cancer will appear on the territory of the medical cluster. The construction of the therapeutic building is scheduled for completion in 2021.
