There are no more numerous complaints on administrative barriers while doing business in Russia from construction companies, said Mikhail Men, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation.

“The most important thing is that administrative barriers are no longer a major problem in construction business according to the polls and queries of citizens to the Ministry,” said Mikhail Men.

He noted that according to the Doing Business rankings published by the World Bank, in 2016 Russia has risen by 37 positions.

As previously noted the Deputy Mayor for urban policy and construction Marat Khusnullin, the Russian capital is carrying out systematic work to reduce administrative barriers.

“Since 2012, we started to focus our effort on facilitation of administrative procedures in the field of construction”, said Marat Khusnullin. “During this time more than 10 administrative procedures were repealed in Moscow”.

According to him, the work on optimization of processing urban-planning documentation is ongoing.
