Ministry of Construction: simplification of procedures should not affect the quality of construction

27.10.2020

Reducing administrative barriers should not affect the quality and safety of construction, said the head of the Russian Ministry of Construction Vladimir Yakushev.

“As the main regulator today, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services is looking for a balance between unnecessary barriers, unnecessary procedures and construction safety. The balance in this case from the point of view of security should not be violated”, – said Vladimir Yakushev.

The head of the Ministry of Construction said that to date 90% of technical documents in construction have been updated, from which unnecessary and duplicate requirements have been excluded.

“At the same time, we kept the balance, and we should not forget that construction should meet the main requirement – security”, – the minister emphasized.
