Minstroy: Russia’s promotion in the Doing Business ranking is a real success
The significant growth in Russia’s position in the World Bank’s annual Doing Business ranking clearly reflects the effectiveness of measures taken to reduce administrative barriers in construction.
“Since 2010, Russia has risen to 131 position in the World Bank’s“ Obtaining Permits for Construction ”ranking, and the current success, promotion by 67 positions, is the highest in Russia’s history of participation in the rating in this area,” she noted in her comment on the results of the study by the Deputy Minister of Construction Natalia Antipin.
According to the official, it is possible to simplify significantly the passage of administrative procedures in construction, allowed the legislative reduction of the period for issuing permits for construction and commissioning of facilities, the urban development plan of the land plot (GPZU), the introduction of a risk-based approach to inspections of construction sites in electronic form.
Also, the high position was influenced by significant progress in the quality control index in construction, here Russia scored 14 out of 15 possible points, said Natalya Antipina.
Recall, and the published rating of the bank on the ease of doing business, Russia climbed four points and ranked 31st among 190 countries, and by the availability of obtaining a building permit, 67 positions at once to 48th place.
