Minstroy will regulate high-rise construction until the end of 2017
Until the end of 2017 Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation has to adopt four codes of practices, which will regulate high0rise construction, informs “Stroitelnaya Gazeta”.
These include following codes and practices: “High-rise buildings and complexes. Fire protection requirements”, “Constructions of foundations for high-rise buildings and structures. Works regulations”, “High-rise buildings and complexes. Operation rules” and High-rise buildings and complexes. Territory planning and development“.
A specially created High-Rise Construction Commission of the Social Council under the Minstroy of Russia participates in the development process. The Commission brings together expert practitioners, who daily deal with high-rise buildings design, harmonization of special technical conditions, issues of high-rise buildings fire safety and high-rises operation in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Ekaterinburg.
Nowadays experts pay special attention on codes of practices that regulate high-rise buildings fire safety and operation. Absence of strict norms, rules and unprofessional operation can lead to loss of human lives. Recent tragedies in London and Dubai provide ample proof of this fact.
