Moscow construction sites equipped with a new information system for safety control
More than 15 construction sites in the capital have been equipped with the Smart Palms system since the beginning of this year, said Yevgeny Sharkov, head of the department for supporting digital development projects in urban planning at the Moscow Department of Information Technology.
According to him, the program helps to control the number of employees at the facility, their qualifications, progress and other indicators.
“This is a complex of technologies, including, but not limited to, a small personal device with many built-in sensors: a GLONASS receiver, an accelerometer, a personification sensor, and other technical means,” said Eugene Sharkov.
He explained that the builder gets this device on the job site. In real time, it transmits to the customer information on movement and activity in the entrusted area of work and other information information necessary for comparison with data in state information systems. Technology also helps ensure worker safety. For example, it can automatically transmit an alarm when there is a sharp vertical movement, that is, if a person falls.
The new system is used at the construction sites of social infrastructure facilities, houses under the renovation program and other construction projects.
