Moscow develops new requirements for design of kindergartens
A fundamentally new document which contains the key requirements for design of kindergartens was developed in Moscow, said the Head of the Department of urban planning policy, Sergey Levkin.
“The new set of rules and regulations “Buildings for pre-school educational institutions. Design rules” is developed to improve the quality of social infrastructure in the framework of instructions of the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin aimed at turning the capital into a comfortable and safe city,” said Sergey Levkin.
According to him, experts have tried to summarize the requirements of technical regulations, building design and fire safety in one document.
In addition, it reflects the sanitary-epidemiological rules and regulations to the land plots and buildings that ensure their safety.
The document also contains a specification of requirements for design of kindergartens in Russia, taking into account climatic patterns and demographic situation in the regions.
Sergey Levkin added that for the first time the new set of rules and regulations was supplemented with the requirements for built-in and an attached kindergartens adjacent to residential and public buildings.
The new set of rules and regulations “Buildings for pre-school educational institutions. Design rules” was approved by the order of the Ministry of Construction of Russia on August 17, 2016.
