Moscow has completed 60% of the plan for the commissioning of housing as part of the national project
According to the results of the first half of 2020, 2.2 million square meters of housing were built and commissioned in Moscow, which is 61% of the annual plan established by the national project “Housing and Urban Environment”, – said Sergey Levkin, head of the city’s Urban Planning Policy Department.
“In 2020, the national project” Housing and Urban Environment “set a target of 3.6 million square meters for Moscow. In the six months since the beginning of the year, more than 2.2 million square meters of housing have been commissioned in the capital. This is almost two-thirds of the annual target”, – said Sergey Levkin.
He recalled that in total in the first half of this year, 4.8 million square meters of real estate out of the planned 8.5 million were commissioned in the capital.
“Construction plays a key role in the urban economy and therefore the smooth exit of the construction complex to” pre-quarantine “volumes will contribute to the economic recovery as a whole. I hope we will cope with all the commitments made and ensure the commissioning of housing according to the plan established by the national project. Today there are no risks of disruption of work”, – said Sergey Levkin.
He explained that the activities of the national project are aimed at increasing the volume of housing construction to 120 million square meters in the entire Russian Federation by 2024.
Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin said that the implementation of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment” is one of the main priorities for the development of the city.
