Moscow gained the leader position in the rating of major emerging global cities for the first time in its history, said the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin at the Moscow Urban Forum on June 30.

“Our colleagues from PwC year on year conduct research of emerging global cities, including Beijing, Dubai, Shanghai. We always make the top three, being ranked second last year. This year Moscow has come out on the top among the major emerging global cities,” said Sergey Sobyanin.

According to him, this is a great achievement of the team of the city government and the Muscovites themselves.

Moscow Urban Forum 2016 was launched on Thursday, June 30, at the Central Exhibition Hall “Manege”. It is devoted to “Fast-growing mega-cities: technologies of dynamic development”. The forum was opened by the Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.
