Moscow to use Japan experience in urban environment projects
The construction of the first transport interchange hub (TPU), a project which was developed by Japanese professionals, will provide the basis for urban development projects in Russia. This was stated by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Construction Andrey Chibis.
He stressed that the launch of this TPU will make a start for creation of efficient transport interchanges with focus on public space on the whole territory of Russia.
The main feature of the TPU project “Botanical Garden” is the combination of the metro, railway, ground public transport and highways in a single interchange system. Passengers will be able to easily make a connection to any kind of transportation.
TPU will be completed at the end of 2018 – the middle 2019’s. This was previously said by the Deputy Mayor for urban policy and construction Marat Khusnullin.
“Nowadays the TPU is being designed, and in the middle of the next year construction works will begin,” said Marat Khusnullin.
The TPU zone will include houses, apartments, hotels and offices. Implementation of this project will provide the city with new jobs.
