National rating of invest climate 2018 is published

Moscow entered the top three of the national rating of the investment climate in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in 2018.

The updated rating was presented on May 25 by the Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) Svetlana Chupsheva at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The rating is made according to 44 indicators, which can give the region 400 points in total. Four key factors are also taken into account:

Regulatory environment – procedures for connecting to networks, obtaining construction permits, registration of ownership. Institutes for business are those services and opportunities that are created for entrepreneurs.

Infrastructure and resources – roads, communications, incubators and technoparks, personnel.

Support for small business – subsidies and other support measures, sites, educational programs.

“At us on some procedures on the average on the country the actual result is better than the target one. The deadline for obtaining a construction permit is 105 days, not 129. During a year, entrepreneurs managed to save two weeks. The connection time to the networks is 73 days, not 90 (minus 10 days compared to last year), “noted Svetlana Chupsheva.

More information on the methodology for calculating the rating can be found on the website of the ASI.
