New software product for BIM developed in Russia

ASCON, a Russian software company, announced the release of a new product for information modeling.

The Pilot-BIM program is an environment for consolidating project data and creating a model with a constant possibility of making changes.

“The consolidated model is assembled automatically, and when the model is updated, only the changed part is updated. This allows you to make changes to the master model on the fly. Thus, the automatically updated, coordinated consolidated model is in the public domain from the very early stage of the construction project’s life cycle”, the company’s website says.

To discuss general issues on the model within the software product, the possibility of correspondence is provided for all participants in its development. Also, “Pilot-BIM” allows you to compare the model with previous versions, which will show all added, deleted or changed objects.

Recall, it was previously reported that in Moscow, the use of BIM technologies in the design of urban facilities will be phased in since 2021. However, the full implementation of information technologies in the Russian construction industry will require the development of high-quality software.
