Number of construction permits in Moscow increases by 5.5%
Despite the fact that Russian construction industry is experiencing difficult times, Moscow shows positive dynamics of construction works, said representatives of the press service of the department of economic policy and development of the capital, citing data of GBU “Analytical Center”.
“In the first half of this year, the number of construction permits increased by 5.5%. During the same period, the total volume of works in Moscow construction sector increased by 5.8%,” said the source.
The Analytical Center noted that significant volume of investments in the transport infrastructure made by the Government of Moscow, Russian Railways and private companies account for positive trend in construction industry.
“Another sign of revival and overcoming of negative trends in this largest investment sector of the city economy is the increase in energy consumption by building organizations in the first half of this year,” noted the press-service.
In the first six months of 2016 the increase of energy consumption by construction companies amounted to 12.3% compared to the period of January – June 2015.
It is to be recalled that since the beginning of 2013 the Moscow Construction Complex has issued almost 7 000 construction and occupancy permits in electronic format. All applications are submitted through the portal of state services. An application for a construction permit is processed in a period of about 10 days. Transfer of state services to electronic format greatly facilitates the work of developers, lowering administrative barriers.
