Platform “Okruzhnaya” of “Savelovskoe” direction will be relocated closer to MCC in 2018
The platform of the “Savelovskoe” direction of the Moscow Railway is planned to be moved closer to the Moscow Central Circle (MCC) by the fall of 2018, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Development Policy and Construction Marat Husnullin.
“The main structures have already been built; we hope that by the autumn of 2018, when the Okruzhnaya transport and transfer interchange terminal is opened, this direction will be fully integrated. Passengers will be able to change from the MCC and the metro to the train without leaving the street”, he said.
According to the data of the capital construction complex, the distance between the MCC and the stopping point “Okruzhnaya” will be reduced from 260 to 50 meters, the transfer will be performed on the principle of “dry feet”. The load at the metro station “Timiryazevskaya” and “Savelovskaya” of the Serpukhov-Timiryazevskaya line will decrease. In addition, the MCC, the metro and the Savelovskoe direction of the Moscow Railway will be integrated into a single transport-transfer hub (TPU).
