Putin signs law on changing terms for issuing construction permits

21.12.2016

The Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a federal law which requires to calculate the period of issuance of construction and occupancy permits in working not calendar days, the document is published on the official portal of legal information.

As it was previously reported in the memorandum, the document introduces amendments to articles 51 and 55 of the City Planning Code of the Russian Federation providing for the calculation of the term of delivery of state services for issuing construction and occupancy permits not in the calendar, but in working days.

Prior to this, the provision of state services for issuing construction and occupancy permits was carried out within ten days from the date of submission of an application. This period was calculated in calendar days, including all weekends, except for official holidays.

According to the memorandum to the document, in case of coincidence of a weekend and a public holiday day off it is transferred to the working day following the holiday, which reduces the number of working days required to carry out all the procedures necessary for provision of state services. This is especially true in the case of filing a corresponding application to the authorized body of state power in the period immediately before the New Year and May holidays.
