17.06.2020

Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting on the implementation of measures to support the economy announced the need to update obsolete building codes that could hamper the development of the construction industry.

“Of course, we need dilapidated, outdated all sorts of norms, rules that impede the development of the industry, neatly, without harm, God forbid, but much needs to be changed there,” he said, addressing Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, in charge of construction, utilities and regional development issues.

Marat Khusnullin in his report told the president about the implementation of anti-crisis measures in the construction industry. “We will try to minimize all losses from the coronavirus, from this economic situation, we will try to prepare for the most powerful development. We included a large number of activities in the national plan that will simplify the construction and speed up all processes”, he said.
