PWC: Russian market of BIM technologies will grow by 2023
PricewaterhouseCoopers experts project growth of BIM technologies market volume in Russia by 50% by 2023. According to the company, market volume in 2019 was about 70 mln dollars.
“Market volume is estimated to be about 67-77 mln dollars, which is about 1.5% of world market. According to various estimates, average annual market growth will be around 14%, it means that by 2023 we can expect increase of Russian market volume growth by over 50%”, – PwC research says.
PwC experts note that in spite of low level of information technology use in Russia as a whole, BIM modeling is one of the most widespread tools. Often developers have questions about necessity of BIM implementation, because at an early stage expenses related to transition to new design and management system are high.
“The answer is simple: if it is a large atypical project and potential error can lead to significant losses at construction or operation stage, we should use BIM technologies”, – Anna Danchenok, head of strategic consulting in real estate sector of PwC, said.
