RASK: reducing bureaucratic procedures will have a powerful effect on the construction industry
The announced measures to reform and revise construction standards and requirements will have a powerful positive impact on the state of the industry, said Nikolai Alekseenko, general director of the Rating Agency of the Construction Complex (RASK).
“At the moment, there are about 10,000 different construction standards, many of which have not been updated for more than 10 years, some contradict each other, create uncertainty and difficulties in passing various examinations”, – the expert notes.
According to the head of RASK, the measures proposed by the President of the country and being worked out in the Government will be only the first step in reforming the industry, but they will already have a serious positive effect.
“Any easing of bureaucratic procedures and requirements leads to faster and cheaper processes, stimulating companies to start new projects – in many ways this concerns creating conditions for the future of the industry”, – said Nikolai Alekseenko.
