Reducing administrative procedures will reduce the final cost of housing

24.07.2020

Administrative barriers indirectly affect the cost of housing for the consumer by increasing the construction time, said Vladimir Yakushev, Minister of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities.

“We really still have sufficient administrative barriers. 4 years pass from the moment of construction to commissioning. We want to reduce this period by a year. The longer we build, the more expensive the cost per square meter – inflation, bank interest. The consumer will ultimately pay for this”, – said Vladimir Yakushev on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio.

The head of the Ministry of Construction noted that the department plans to develop an appropriate package of amendments to the current legislation in order to accelerate the housing construction process in Russia as much as possible.
