Regulations for high rise construction to be adopted by year-end
Regulation guidelines for design and construction of high-rise buildings must be approved before the end of the year, said Sergey Levkin, Head of the Moscow Department of urban planning policy.
“The draft of regulation guidelines “High-rise buildings and complexes. Design regulations” is ready by now. The document has passed through a public discussion on the official website of Rosstandart (Federal Agency on technical Regulating and Metrology). Now it undergoes the final elaboration taking into account comments and proposals received during discussion,” said Sergey Levkin.
He noted that in the near future the revised draft will be forwarded for expert examination and approval to the Ministry of Construction of Russia.
“We expect that by the end of the year these regulations will be approved,” added the Head of the Department.
As he noted earlier, this document will be the first and the basic one in the field of high rise construction in Moscow, and in the country as a whole.
He recalled that Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, has set a task to tighten control over the construction of high rise buildings due to increase in construction of skyscrapers, as well as because of the loss of effect of previously used territorial construction standards.
