Russia goes up from 40th to 35th position in World Bank Doing Business ranking

In World Bank Doing Business ranking Russia has grown up by 5 positions and now takes 35th place out of 190. It was told by the Minister of economic development Maxim Oreshkin.

Russia has overtook Italy and Belgium and approached France, Netherlands, Switzerland and Japan in new ranking. The minister reminded that 6 years ago Russia was on 124th position and today has the biggest progress among all participants of the ranking.

“It is important to understand that the growth becomes more and more difficult every time. All countries are trying to improve business climate and constantly implementing reforms that simplify business environment”, – explained the Minister.

Maxim Oreshkin stressed out that Russia is in TOP-10 in the availability of electricity networks category and also in TOP-30 in registration of private property, execution of contracts, registration of enterprises and credits.

We remind that World Bank Doing Business ranking shows the ease of doing business in different countries.
