Sobyanin: modern technologies are needed for sustainable development
Purposefulness, efficiency in decision-making and innovativeness should be the main principles for achieving sustainable economic development, said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin at the XXIII Congress of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions.
“The main challenge of our time is the speed of change. And the one who wins in the competitive world struggle (and we are all in a competitive environment) is the one who decides to adapt to the modern world faster and introduces modern technologies”, said Sergei Sobyanin.
At the same time, the Moscow Mayor noted, for the effective implementation of the development strategy it is not enough just to switch to digital technologies in the field of state regulation – it is also necessary to adjust the management methods themselves.
“Moscow is the world leader in the field of electronic public services according to the United Nations, but if we began to digitalize this process, relying on the old management structures, on the old regulations, then nothing would have worked. It was necessary to change all this first: the interaction between federal, regional, local management systems, the timing of the provision of services, refuse additional certificates, applications, etc. Enormous work at the initial stage is carried out, and then digitalization then falls on this layer”, Sergey Sobyanin explained.

The head of the city added that a sufficiently developed system of providing electronic services has already been developed in Moscow, which allows you to quickly draw up many documents without leaving your home.
