Russian President Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, during which key parameters of the federal budget until 2023 were discussed. The draft budget includes funds for the implementation of national projects, infrastructure development and business support, Dmitry Medvedev said.

“In just three years, I mean 2020, 2021 and 2022, about seven trillion rubles are planned to be allocated from the federal budget for the implementation of national projects and the Comprehensive Plan for the modernization [and expansion of the trunk] infrastructure,” the head of government said.

Among the key funding items Dmitry Medvedev is the implementation of national projects in the field of economics, the expansion and modernization of infrastructure, the repair and construction of roads, the development of small and medium enterprises and other areas that arise from national projects.

Vladimir Putin recommended that the Government focus not only on the budgeting of key projects, but also “on the bureaucratic decision-making in order to ensure the rhythm of funding.”
