Subcontractors can withdraw from SRO since January 1,2017
The National Association of Builders (NOSTROY) in cooperation with the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities plan to develop amendments to the law on SRO (self-regulatory organizations) allowing subcontractors to withdraw from the organization by December 1.
According to the words of the President of the Association Andrey Molchanov, these amendments suggest the possibility of withdrawal from SRO since January 1, not since July 1.
“The law was adopted, it is possible to say that it is complicated, or not complicated, good or bad, it has to be fulfilled. Certainly it will be a kind of self-cleaning. Unfortunately, before that it was a “feeder” for the officials in charge of self-regulation. What is self-regulation for builders today? Another barrier that must be cleared. Today we have removed this burden for many of them, that is certainly good for small and medium-sized businesses. It is necessary to amend the federal law. I hope we will manage it by the New Year,” said Andrey Molchanov.
He explained that until December 1, it is planned to amend the law in cooperation with the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities, so that they come into force on January 1.
National Association of Builders was established on November 10, 2009 by the decision of I All-Russian Congress of self-regulatory organizations (SROs), based on membership of persons engaged in construction, reconstruction, major repairs of objects of capital construction.
