The largest transport hub in Europe will be construted on the Nekrasovskaya metro line
Transport hub Ryazanskaya, which will be constructed on the Nizhegorodskaya metro station, will combine ridership of two metro lines, Moscow Central Circle and railways of Gorkovsky direction, Andrey Bochkarev, deputy mayor of Moscow on urban planning and construction, announced.
“Transport hub Ryazanskaya is located at the intersection of Ryazansky prospect and Nizhegorodskaya street. Nizhegoroskaya stations of Nekrasovskaya, Large Circle lines and Moscow Central Circle will become the basis of the hub. Moreover, the hub will include platform Karacharovo of Gorkovsky railway direction and surface public transport stops”, – Andrey Bochkarev said.
The Deputy mayor noted that after commissioning of all hub facilities, around 400 thousand passengers will use it daily.
“As part of beautification of adjacent territory we will create a multi-level landscape part. It will become a buffer zone between residential area and the hub. We have picked plants resistant to urban conditions – alders and tilias, perennial flowers and bushes”, – Andrey Bochkarev said.
The head of the Construction Complex told the commercial area of the Ryazanskaya hub will include mall, apartments, offices, parking and public services center. Moreover, there will be ground-based intercepting parking areas.
We recall that today the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin opened the second section of Nekrasovskaya metro line and adjacent part of the Large Circle line.
“We have completed construction of one of the largest metro lines in Moscow, 22 km, 10 stations from Nekrasovskaya to Lefortovo. We launched it in two phases, today we are launching the second phase. This line is very important, it will improve transport accessibility for a million citizens, will decongest Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya metro line”, – Sergey Sobyanin said.
