The main architects of Moscow and St. Petersburg will discuss projects of the future


The main theme of the section “Creative Environment and Urbanism” at the IX St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum will be a healthy city, said the chief architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov.

“The theme of our anniversary section is more important than ever, because it is facing the entire world community. We invited bright international speakers and included interdisciplinary issues in the program. We will talk about Russian realities, and topics that bother people, and about international experience, and about green construction and scientific developments”, – Sergey Kuznetsov said.

He explained that this year the main issue will be the formation of a healthy city, stable both in the period of force majeure and in the future. At the fifth, anniversary section “Creative Environment and Urbanism,” participants will discuss:

– What is a “healthy city,” and can a place where millions of people live and communicate tightly be healthy?

– How do I prevent threats?

– How to restore life in the city after the pandemic?

– Will the principles of friendly city, as well as the prospects for the development of infrastructure, public places and spaces in the city of the post-COVID era, be preserved.

The panel discussion “Urban environment in the post-pandemic era: new challenges for architects and urbanists” will open the section. Participants will discuss various urban reconstruction strategies and their impact, new norms and their impact on urban architecture, the correlation of settlement density and disease rates, and how personal and public spaces are transformed.

In the framework of the round table “Active city: an environment that stimulates a healthy lifestyle,” the speakers will talk about long-term projects to create settlements “for life.” The focus of attention is Urban Health’s strategy aimed at improving the duration and quality of life of people through the creation of an urban environment.

Also, the participants of the event will discuss landscaping and landscaping projects, the development of domestic tourism, the implementation of landmark projects in the city.
